Madrid Pride, also known as Orgullo Gay Madrid, is the largest gay pride event in Spain and one of the largest in Europe, attracting more than 2 million people over the five days of pride. The first Madrid Pride parade took place in 1977, following the death of Franco.

About the event
Madrid Pride features one of the largest Pride parades in Europe. The parade lasts late into the night and culminates in a huge street party. Parties take place throughout the city in the run-up to the final weekend and the parade.
