Sindy Sinful – Glamour, Wit, and High Heels on the Austrian Stage
For over a decade, Innsbruck-based drag queen Sindy Sinful has captivated audiences with her unique blend of live singing, magic, and charming wit. Her stage presence, talent, and versatility have made her a standout figure in Innsbruck's nightlife – and far beyond.
Her career began in 2012 with a dazzling debut as the opening model at the Inn Set Fashion Week, where she confidently strutted down the runway in high heels, proving that men can rule the catwalk, too. What followed was a series of theatrical performances with queer themes, a guest appearance on Austria’s popular talk show Barbara Karlich, and a foray into the world of modeling – always with a flair for the extraordinary.
In 2014, Sindy ignited a new passion for drag in Tyrol with her debut holiday show Winter Wonder World, which quickly became a local sensation. A year later, her artistic transformation was featured in a behind-the-scenes TV segment by Tirol TV, offering a glimpse into her creative process and persona.
In 2016, she joined the cast of Kelly Heelton’s Next Drag Superstar, a web series inspired by RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she tackled theatrical challenges with style. That same year, she launched her first dinner drag show, Eine Dame werd' ich nie ("I’ll Never Be a Lady") – a theatrical hit that combined glamour, comedy, and social commentary.
Her rising popularity soon took her across borders. In 2017 and 2018, she became a highlight of Germany’s first LGBTQ+ carnival session, hosted by the Löwenjäger carnival guild in Mannheim, performing for over 1,000 guests and bringing the house down with her charisma and energy.
After a brief creative break in 2019, Sindy returned in 2020 as the lead in the music video AUT SIDERZ, and re-established herself as a local favorite in her “living room,” the FRIENDS Bar in Innsbruck, where she entertains with music, stories, and cheeky humor.
In 2021, she reached the finals of the Miss Tuntenball competition. Although the event was canceled due to COVID-19, she channeled her creativity into a new project: Drag & Dine, a successful dinner show created in partnership with Rainbow Travel that received standing ovations at its premiere.
By 2022, she had joined the United Queens of Munich and performed at a wide range of events across Austria and Germany, from murder mystery dinners to drag festivals like Gigi’s Rosa Stadl. These collaborations not only thrilled audiences but also forged lasting friendships with fellow artists.
The year 2023 brought new milestones, including a headline role in the Winter Pride in Sölden, a weeklong celebration of diversity set amidst the Alpine slopes. That same year, she also appeared at major musical premieres – La Cage aux Folles in Klagenfurt and Ku'damm 59 in Berlin – and wowed a crowd of over 2,000 at Oktoberfest’s iconic Fischer Vroni tent.
2024 was a year of innovation and collaboration. Sindy co-founded the House of Sinful with Stephanie Senn and Dominik Unterthiner – a variety show in Innsbruck blending drag, live music, poetry, and comedy. December saw the triumphant return of Sindy’s Angels, a holiday show that once again charmed the Innsbruck audience.
As 2025 unfolds, Sindy shows no signs of slowing down. She returns as host of the Winter Pride in Sölden for the third time, with new projects already in the works. One thing’s for sure: wherever Sindy Sinful appears, the stage becomes a place of joy, sparkle, and unforgettable moments.
